MUD Australia combines the luxurious look of porcelain, made of French Limoges clay, with the strength of tableware for everyday use. Colour is tinted through the porcelain clay to provide a colour depth not available from surface glazing. Clear glaze is then applied to the interior of each piece leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling.
Mud australia porcelain is oven, microwave, dishwasher and food safe — making it ideal for domestic and commercial use at the table and in the kitchen. All items are handmade in a small studio just outside Sydney. The charm of this is that not all objects are shaped exactly the same.
